Description
Geranium pratense \’Cloud Nine\’ is a hardy, perennial plant celebrated for its soft lilac-blue flowers that bloom from late spring to early summer, forming a long-lasting and abundant display. The wide, saucer-shaped blooms are carried above finely divided, bright green foliage that forms a neat, clump-forming habit, adding structure and texture to borders, meadows, or naturalistic plantings. Its flowers attract bees and other pollinators, enhancing garden biodiversity while providing continuous ornamental interest.
Thriving in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil, Geranium pratense \’Cloud Nine\’ is hardy, low-maintenance, and adaptable to a variety of soil types. Occasional removal of spent flowers encourages fresh foliage and can extend the flowering period. Its combination of abundant, long-lasting blooms, lush foliage, and pollinator-friendly qualities makes it a versatile and reliable choice for cottage gardens, mixed borders, and naturalistic plantings.
