Geranium oxonianum ‘A.T. Johnson’ – 2026

Description

Geranium oxonianum ‘A.T. Johnson’ is a vigorous, hardy perennial valued for its rich violet-blue flowers that bloom from late spring to early summer, creating a long-lasting and eye-catching display. The saucer-shaped blooms are carried above a mound of finely divided, bright green foliage, which maintains its decorative appeal throughout the growing season. Its spreading habit makes it an excellent choice for borders, rockeries, or naturalistic plantings, where it adds colour, texture, and structure while also attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil, Geranium oxonianum ‘A.T. Johnson’ is hardy, low-maintenance, and adaptable to a variety of soil types. Occasional cutting back of spent flowers encourages fresh foliage and can prolong the flowering period. Its combination of vibrant, long-lasting blooms, lush foliage, and pollinator-friendly flowers makes it a reliable and attractive addition to many garden settings, providing both ornamental and ecological value.
