Description
Geranium macrorrhizum \’Czakor\’ is a bold, ground-covering perennial valued for its aromatic foliage and vibrant flowers. In late spring to early summer, it produces rich pink blooms above a dense mat of rounded, lobed green leaves that release a pleasant scent when crushed. The foliage often develops striking red and bronze hues in autumn, extending its ornamental interest throughout the year. Its vigorous, spreading growth makes it highly effective at suppressing weeds and covering large areas, while also attracting bees and other pollinators.
This variety thrives in full sun to partial shade and adapts well to a wide range of soil types, including poorer and drier sites once established. Hardy and low-maintenance, Geranium macrorrhizum \’Czakor\’ is particularly useful for difficult garden areas, slopes, and woodland edges, where its resilience and year-round appeal make it a reliable planting choice.
