Gaillardia ‘Arizona Sun’

Description

Gaillardia grandiflora Arizona Sun, commonly known as Blanketflower Arizona Sun, is a striking perennial that adds a burst of vibrant colour to summer gardens. Its large, daisy-like flowers feature a bold blend of red, orange, and yellow, creating a fiery display from early summer to early autumn. Compact and bushy in form, this sun-loving plant is ideal for adding warmth and texture to borders, beds, and containers.

Thriving in well-drained soil and full sun, Gaillardia Arizona Sun is a drought-tolerant perennial well-suited for UK gardens. It blooms continuously throughout the summer, complementing other flowering plants in mixed displays. Deadheading spent flowers will promote longer-lasting colour, while cutting back in late summer encourages new basal growth before winter.

Perfect for gardeners looking for a low-maintenance plant with a long flowering season, Gaillardia Arizona Sun attracts pollinators, making it an excellent choice for wildlife-friendly gardens. It thrives in rockeries, coastal gardens, and patio pots, bringing bold, long-lasting colour to outdoor spaces. Additionally, its vibrant flowers are excellent for cutting, adding a warm and cheerful touch to floral arrangements.
