Description
Aspidistra fungilliformis ‘China Star’ is a bold and hardy evergreen perennial prized for its broad, leathery leaves beautifully speckled with bright yellow. It reaches around 50cm in height and brings a reliable splash of colour and texture to those deeply shaded garden corners where most plants fail.
Originally collected in China by Jim Waddick (QCS-IIM-L13) and introduced to wider cultivation via Tony Avent, ‘China Star’ is excellent as a ground cover beneath taller shrubs or trees. Resilient, long lived, and striking, it thrives in low light and dry shade, adding flair without fuss.
