Description
Actaea ‘Chocoholic’ is a striking perennial valued for its deeply divided, dark bronze-purple foliage and tall, elegant spires of bottlebrush-like flowers. From late summer into autumn, slender stems carry fragrant, creamy-white blooms tinged with soft pink, which contrast beautifully with the rich foliage. The flowers are particularly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, bringing movement and life to the late-season garden.
Thriving best in partial shade with moist, humus-rich soil, ‘Chocoholic’ is ideal for woodland-style gardens, mixed borders, or damp, sheltered spots. Its architectural form and long flowering season provide structure and colour when many other perennials are fading. With its combination of dramatic foliage, late blooms, and wildlife value, it makes a superb choice for creating depth and seasonal interest.
