Description
Iris sibirica ‘Blue’ is a graceful Siberian iris cultivar that brings elegance and colour to any garden. The flowers display soft blue standards and falls, delicately veined, creating a calm and harmonious visual effect. The slender, upright foliage adds texture and movement, contrasting beautifully with the delicate blooms. This cultivar is particularly valued for its extended flowering period and subtle fragrance, which enhances both borders and mixed perennial beds.
This perennial thrives in moist, well-drained soils and prefers full sun to partial shade, making it suitable for a wide range of garden locations including pond edges and cottage-style borders. ‘Blue’ is hardy, low-maintenance, and attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies, supporting local biodiversity while providing long-lasting colour. Its reliable spring to early summer flowering makes it a favourite for gardeners seeking both beauty and ecological value.
