Description
Salvia nemorosa ‘Blue Bouquetta’ is a compact, clump-forming perennial with aromatic green foliage and upright spikes of vivid blue-purple flowers. Blooming from late spring into summer, it provides long-lasting colour and texture in borders, cottage gardens, and wildlife-friendly plantings. The nectar-rich flowers attract bees and butterflies, offering ecological benefits while adding ornamental interest. Its tidy, bushy habit makes it ideal for mixed borders, mass plantings, or low-maintenance schemes.
It thrives in full sun in well-drained, moderately fertile soil and is low-maintenance, benefiting from occasional deadheading to prolong flowering and maintain a neat appearance. Non-native to the UK, it is valued for its intense flower colour, long bloom period, and ability to provide structure and vibrant summer displays in perennial borders.
