Daucus carota

Description

Better known as Wild Carrot, Daucus Carota brings a gentle, natural lift to the garden, with finely cut foliage and soft white flower heads that rise lightly above the stems. It has an easy, understated presence that works beautifully in relaxed borders, adding height and a touch of wild charm without overwhelming the space. The flowers open in loose clusters through summer, giving the plant a light, meadow style feel that blends effortlessly with informal planting.

Its also a straightforward hardy annual to look after. Plant in well drained soil with good light, water regularly while it settles, and let it form its natural, open shape. As the season moves on, tidying away any tired foliage keeps it looking fresh and encourages clean new growth. Once established, its a resilient, low effort plant that returns reliably each year, offering those airy flower heads just when the garden needs a bit of lift and movement.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
