Geranium versicolor – 2026

Description

Geranium versicolor is a hardy, perennial plant admired for its delicate pale pink flowers with subtle darker veining that bloom from late spring to early summer, creating a soft and long-lasting display. The wide, saucer-shaped blooms rise above finely divided, bright green foliage that forms a low, clump-forming habit, adding texture and structure to borders, rockeries, or naturalistic plantings. Its flowers attract bees and other pollinators, supporting garden biodiversity while enhancing ornamental interest.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil, Geranium versicolor is hardy, low-maintenance, and adaptable to a variety of soil types. Occasional removal of spent flowers encourages fresh foliage and can extend the flowering period. Its combination of delicate blooms, lush foliage, and pollinator-friendly qualities makes it a versatile and reliable choice for cottage gardens, mixed borders, rockeries, and naturalistic plantings.
